Christmas: our favourite time of the year J. It’s about the story of Christ being born, and Citipointe do a great job of telling it. High Impact Lighting worked closely with the event director to ensure many memorable moments for the audience. There was a scene with a squirrel walking across the stage with a fuel container, followed by our flame machine triggering a “fire”.

There was the opening song, with Jess standing in front of the LED screen at a angle, with LED balls in a nice glow and strings down below covered by our MDG low fog. And there was the time we lowered in a truss, creating a dramatic change in the shape of the balls, along with adding pixel bars and a chandelier for a duet on stage. It’s all about using the same rig to tell different stories. And having the lighting work in unison with the artists. That’s what Christmas concerts are like for High Impact Lighting!

High Impact Lighting often gets asked what equipment we actually have. The answer is: ‘probably more the you expect’! Ash created High Impact Lighting to fill a need in the market: to deliver high quality productions, on budget, with great service. To achieve our goals, we need new, reliable and well-maintained gear. High Impact Lighting supports many brands such as Chavuet, GLP, MDG, Tour Pro, Look Solution, Grand MA, Madrix, ELC, LSC, Magic FX, Green Hippo … and the list goes on.

We specialise in lighting and video, so we have the best consoles and media servers to ensure smooth operation, with our go to wash and spots mixed in with some eye candy.

If you have a production coming up and you want a special design with our equipment, hit us up for a quote. You won’t be disappointed!

St Peters and its great auditorium had Leo in for one night only. He performed to a full house (of course), with his hits from back-in-the-day conveying great energy. High Impact Lighting supplied lighting, including a small package of X-Beams, Pats, LED Pixel Bars and City Colours for side light.

We operated the lights via our MA2 console and ensured that the lighting matched his performance. Both Leo and the lights had raving reviews at the end of the night.

SWB 2016

Secret Women’s Business … Well, maybe not so secret now, as we sat in on the whole thing. But what a fun conference! Prior planning is always the key to a successful event. At High Impact Lighting, we take this seriously and invest money every year into our Pre Vis systems. Using WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get), we were able to give our client a 3D preview of what the stage would look like, and make the tweaks they needed to create a winning idea. This design looked amazing in preview and just as good when it was all done!

Diamonds were the key feature at this conference, so we created an LED diamond, 2 stories high. We added an angled LED screen below and an LED screen frame around the whole stage. Then we filled the gaps with lighting and create a super-awesome stage. The angles worked, the content was fantastic and we made sure the operation was cue-perfect.
